Training with a small group for the Masters Games coming here next month. We started last year. I won't be competing this time, but the training has greatly improved my boxing.
I never seem to find anyone in Southern California that even knows what Master's boxing is. If anyone knows a trainer that will train for Master's in So Cal let me know.

Ah, i see the US Rules are a bit different. Masters Boxing in Germany starts from 30 years with no prior amateur fights (because you can’t start in ordinary amateur boxing if you haven’t had a fight before your 30th birthday) and from 40 for prior amateur boxers who want to continue. So here you also could compete with a 30 year old. The 10 years maximum difference is the same here.
Sadly not in the US but I have a passbook and plan to do my first amateur masters bout this year. Sadly here in Germany masters boxing is still a very small thing, not comparable to the USA.
Es gibt am 11.03. das ABM Masters in Köln. Das ist relativ groß aufgezogen.
Ich selber hab das „Problem“ dass das nicht über den DBV läuft ich aber mein Startrecht über den DBV habe. Wie sich das beides verträgt ist noch nicht so ganz klar und da ich in einem Landesverband mitarbeite werde ich mich erst mal bis zur Klärung auf die Veranstaltungen der Amateur-Verbände beschränken. Dort gab es in Hamburg dieses Jahr die ersten bestachen Meisterschaften im Masters-Boxen. Sonst habe ich keine reinen Masters-Veranstaltungen gesehen. Es werden Masters-Kämpfe üblicherweise als Einlagekämpfe auf ganz normalen Amateur-Leistungssport Veranstaltungen gemacht. Ich denke so wird auch mein Debut aussehen. Bin leider noch nach einer OP nicht ganz fit aber hoffe darauf, dass es noch dieses Jahr was wird.
