Update on MeetFighters.com
Dear Members,
As you might have heard, the site's name is changing from AllFighters.info to MeetFighters.com. I'll try to summarize the information you need to know about the change below:
- The change will happen on the 8th of July.
- Your existing username and password will continue to work on the new site. Other than logging in, you will not have to do anything.
- The new site is essentially the same as the old one,
You can try the new site now and give feedback: go to http://www.meetfighters.com/! Be aware that the site is not 100% complete yet, e.g. some of the graphics are still being replaced.
So what's changed? Here's a non-comprehensive list of the most important changes to the site:
- The site design is new.
- The notification system is new, and hopefully, a bit easier to use.
- Viewing profile galleries and the list of new photos is improved.
- The compact user list view has been enhanced to fill the available space better.
- The Who fought whom? page has a better user interface, you can search for members to see where they are in that mess. :)
- Support for Internet Explorer 6.0 is dropped.

The old domain name, allfighters.info will continue to exist. It will redirect visitors to the new site.

01/7/2012 19:23I think the existing site is fantastic so I can't wait to see what's been changed. This is really one of the best places on the net for this interest group. Other websites have come and gone, or have poor user interfaces, are often blocked or out of date. Whereas Allfighters has gone from strength to strength - you are high commended for all the hard work you put in to keep it fresh. Many thanks.

02/7/2012 20:29Please keep the support for Internet Explorer 6, some of us are still using old PCs. Thank you!

I would suggest that IE6 users try the mobile version of the site. IE6 is an antique, and supporting it is too much work, work I could put to improving other parts of the site.

03/7/2012 05:51It would be nice if the profile pictures that roll across the top of the page come back when we click the back arrow. Sometimes just as I click on something on the page I notice a nice pic amongst the 13 or so "featured". If I click the back arrow all of the pictures have changed and I can rarely find that man again. :( Thanks for a nice site!

06/7/2012 22:11If you are stuck with IE6 and all its security problems and an old machine and OS just download a more universal browser such as Firefox or Chrome or Opera. All are free and work well with this site and you can easily import all your data from IE6.Then delete resource hogging IE6 and see how much faster your old machine is with a new browser.
